Giorgio Armani Fall 2015 RTW Collection

I apologize for not posting recently, I've been Ill but I'm back with a Fashion Show post. Armani's collection's normally are presented with a mini essay explaining why he did everything but for his Autumn 2015 Ready to Wear Collection he wanted his audience to come to their own conclusions. Here is a snapshot of Armani's latest collection, going into his 40th year of working.

The bulk of the collection was brushstrokes of embroidery- the work like Marc Chagall's painting. With years of experience under his belt, Armani's collection was completely in character, with a bold statement. 'Simplicity with strength is the hardest thing to pull off' he said after his show, but his four decades of work obviously left him knowing the ropes better than anyone. Although he added a few oddities (free floating collars for starters) he also incorporated his signature pieces; gently-curving, cropped jackets, tranquil blues, alluring purples and greys, playing to his strengths with textures; big square paillettes of leather and suede which was seen in a few jackets as well as fringing and fur.

Make-up was kept reasonably simple, with a subtle smokey eye, bronzed cheek bones and big brows. Hair was generally a bed head look, used by many designers recently, with a low ponytail, tied up at the nape of the model's neck. The elegant beauty worked well  with with the statement clothing creating a happy medium between simplicity and boldness.

When talking about his new collection that he started the day after models walked his Autumn collection he was asked if he had anything else to prove. 'Do you think I have?' Was his reply, I'll let you be the decider of that...
